Emma Hudson Technical Consultancy Ltd

Here to help the electronics industry through the maze of standards and more

I have many years’ experience within the PCB industry, and just as importantly, within the industry of testing, inspection, standards and certification

I’ll be your guide and occasional translator, as the standards industry has a language all its own.

I set up my consultancy after seeing a real need for more clarity and guidance for electronics designers and manufacturers.

We’ll both be working towards the same goal – safe and reliable products that reach the market in the time frame you need them to, within your budget.

My job starts with understanding what you need

Navigating standards can feel like navigating a maze. There can be times where you feel like you’ve hit a dead end, taken a wrong turn or find yourself right back where you started. I’m here to help you avoid those times.

I will focus on helping you understand what you do and don’t need, while you focus on your product, your core business and your clients.

I’m here to support you with a vast range of projects. It may be a one-off PCB design that you need to get UL Recognition for, having your material qualified, or on-going support for getting your products evaluated to the latest cleanliness section in IPC J-STD-001.

Having over twenty years experience in the electronics industry and over a decade of experience in establishing and revising international electronics standards, I am well placed to help you navigate through the challenges of qualification and certification.
